Kakorlantas Memastikan Kondisi Lalu Lintas di Tol Trans Jawa Terkendali saat Arus Balik

Irjen Agus Suryonugroho, the chief of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas), has stated that the post-Eid al-Fitr exodus on the Trans Java Toll Road is currently under control. Various measures have been taken to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers returning after the Eid holidays. Traffic flow is being managed through local one-way systems, particularly to handle the congestion towards Jakarta. It is predicted that the peak of the return flow will occur on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Agus, along with Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi and the President Director of the Indonesian State-Owned Insurance Company (Jasa Raharja) Rivan Purwantono, inspected the traffic situation at the Banyumanik Toll Gate in Central Java on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Agus reported to the media during this visit, where they were also joined by the Police Chief and the Transportation Minister, who was conducting a field inspection.

Agus mentioned that the traffic police, along with other authorities, have implemented strategic measures to manage the increased volume of vehicles, including scenarios to redirect the flow towards the return direction. This includes local one-way systems on specific sections, such as from kilometer 70 to 36, and opening lane 2 for one-way traffic at Cikampek. Additionally, a national one-way system will be enforced from Kalikangkung (kilometer 414) towards Jakarta, as instructed by the Transportation Minister and the Police Chief.

Minister Dudy Purwagandhi noted that the traffic during the return exodus was still flowing smoothly until that evening. The upcoming national one-way policy is expected to further alleviate the congestion towards Jakarta.
